Unlike many villages Kensworth still has an active village school
that many people still living here attended as children like other
generations of their family. It is an integral part of life in the
village and a valuable part of the community.
In 2003 the School celebrated its 150th anniversary with a number
of special events including an “Open Day” with lots
of photos of classes from days gone by. Plenty of visitors found
it interesting to be reminded of their school days.
The school, like many others, has changed a lot over the years but
it still retains, and uses, its original school buildings.
